EZmix 3.0.1 is now available to download using the Product Manager or from the ‘My Products’ area in your Toontrack account. Please note that version 3.0.1 is required for the support of EZmix packs released from this point forward (Q3 2024).
CHANGES
General
Loading a template in Quick Start will make every added preset slot to get the same initial filters, as determined by the template. The three last recently used preset pack filters will also be added to new slots.
The “Do you want to save” dialog will now be shown if any changes were made – even in a new/unsaved project – when Quit, New, Open and similar operations are selected.
Mouse wheel step sizes have been changed for input/output sliders and preset controls (though this does not affect “smooth mouse wheels,” such as trackpads). If Shift is pressed, the step/change will be smaller.
Rack
Clearing a preset slot now also clears all filters (as well as deselecting the preset).
If the user closes a “bypass dialog” (shown in a bypassed slot), it will not be shown again in that slot (unless the slot is powered on and off again).
Filters
The Type tag Amplifier was renamed to Amplifier/Rig (to differentiate it from the Amplifier effect).
The Instrument tags Bass, Brass, Drums, Percussion, Strings and Woodwind were renamed to Bass Electric, Brass Generic, Drum Kit, Percussion Generic, Strings Generic and Woodwind Generic, respectively, so that they no longer have the same names as their corresponding Instrument Group tags.
Similarity Map
The text “Amps and Cabs” has been changed to “Amps and Distortion.”
Improved graphics for selected and hovered dots.
Preset List
The “Included Effects” popup (available if you enable the info icon in the “Show in List” menu) now groups the specific effects by their effect types.
There is now a context menu for presets in the preset list.
Effect Controls
Preset control tooltips now also contain the current value, so you don’t need to click on the control to see the value.
Added a menu command “Filter by Tags from Preset” to current preset.
The Gain Reduction value is now reset when a different preset is loaded and the value is individual for each slot.
Standalone
The tempo in the standalone can now be changed by dragging and by mouse wheel.
BUG FIXES
General
AI Amp Capture presets would cause repeated pops/clicks in the audio if a large buffer size was used.
Very small buffer sizes (common in FL Studio, e.g., using variables buffer sizes) could cause incorrect latency to be reported by the plug-in.
When audio analysis finished in an AI-Assisted preset, the new parameter values were not sent to the host.
Importing an EZmix 2 project in a DAW could potentially cause a crash.
If audio processing is stopped by the host, all meters will now decay down to the minimum instead of freezing at the current state.
States
Pasting an EZmix 3 State with empty preset slots did not replace any loaded presets.
Pasting an EZmix 3 State with AI-Assisted presets could cause a crash.
Rack
Improved navigation order in the rack for screen readers.
Switching to a preset slot that had no preset loaded did not update the rack background image.
Filters
Loading a project containing filter tags that belong to hidden columns will now automatically show those columns for that particular preset slot.
Similarity Map
In the View menu, “Preset Space” was changed to “Similarity Map.”
Preset List
When a project or was loaded, the sort order saved in the project was shown but not actually applied.
Effect Controls
Changing a preset control so that the asterisk in front of the preset name appears or disappears should no longer cause a short GUI freeze.
The asterisk in front of the current preset name will now also appear if In, Out or Mix values are changed from the default.
In the standalone, the Analyze Track button was sometimes incorrectly disabled after changing presets.
If audio audio analysis in an AI-Assisted preset was canceled, the preset controls would no longer work (would not do anything).
Long preset control descriptions used in older EZmix packs should have more space now so that the descriptions are not truncated.
Standalone
To prevent any audio feedback loop at first startup, the standalone will now be totally silent when the feedback warning dialog is shown, until the Audio Setup dialog is closed.
