Meter Change from 4/4 to 3/4 not showing in EZDrummer

  Using Protools, EZDrummer 3 in a MAC Sequoia version.  My song starts in 4/4….then goes to 3/4.  Easy to do in ProTools.  EZDrummer follows the PT Host.  I put down a 4/4 groove in EZDrummer, then later change to 3/4 using a 3/4 designed groove.  Ten back to 4/4 using a 4/4 defined groove.  Sounds great but EZDrummer measures do not correspond to the ProTools measures-  EZDrummer only counts in 4/4.  Sounds OK, but real tough to edit etc.  Any ideas appreciated!!
