I use SD3, EZDrummer 3, EZKeys and EZBass native silicon on Mac Ultra and have for quite some time. However I don’t use Logic Pro. Fender Studio Pro 8, formerly Presonus Studio One works fine with D&D to the song timeline. All this to say TT software is silicon native, I know there has been some performance issues introduced by Apple in a recent update.

Can you open SD3 in standalone without using Rosetta? If so then you have your answer and it becomes  the interaction of SD3 and Logic. Being that you can open SD3 in Logic without using Rosetta that suggests it’s not SD3 as such.

Are Toontrack products (SD3, EZKeys, EZBass) not Silicon adapted? Do macOS updates make dragging grooves to Logic midi tracks problematic? Is Toontrack working on this?

Hi, all current Toontrack products (as in not discontinued) are indeed silicon Native and have been for some time, which means you do not need to run your host in Rosetta mode.
I have not seen this myself and seen no other reports of this, so it seems to happen locally on your computer.

Can you open the SD3 standalone and drag MIDI to the Desktop/Finder?

You can always try Reset & Rescan in the Logic Plug-In Manager and/or clearing your Audio Units cache.

Since you can open the plug-ins in Logic and the crash happens when you drag MIDI from plug-in to Logic, I would guess it has something to do with damaged permissions.
Perhaps First Aid on your drive?

Can you salvage any crash reports/logs?

    BR,
    John
