I’m having a weird issue that only seems to happen when I’m using the AU version of SD3 inside of logic. it doesn’t happen in the standalone app.
when I click on any drop down menu, and move my mouse cursor through the list of that drop down, SD3 will automatically select what my mouse is highlighting unless I keep the mouse button held down.
is this expected behavior? I can work around it but I keep forgetting to hold the mouse button and selecting stuff by accident.
Yes! I too have this problem but I’ve been dealing with it. Also when saving a preset, the text types very slowly. I am thinking Tahoe is to blame.

What mouse are you using? Most Apple brand rodents are aweful pieces of junk. As to text typing slowly that’s symbolic of a computer running too many things at one time or running the keyboard & mouse on a wireless Bluetooth setup. Strictly speaking it’s not MacOS as the culprit. Both of your problems are not endemic to SD3.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanI will respectfully disagree with your assessment in my case. Never had the issue before upgrading to Tahoe. I am running a Mac Mini M1 with 16gb of ram, wired Logitech mouse & keyboard. This issue can happen with a brand new Logic Pro project with no tracks or plugins running (except SD3) with a very small drum preset loaded. I really think it’s the plugin communication within Logic as in standalone I have no issues. I don’t think it’s anything wrong on Toontrack’s side and I’ve contemplated going back to Sequoia but just don’t feel like going through the hassle.
I have over 35 years in IT and know when it’s system resources vs. coding/compatibility.

Hi, I have personally not seen this behavior but I have no current installation of Tahoe. One thing to check would perhaps be the ‘Accessibility’ settings? Is this behavior only happening with the SD3 plug-in or other plug-ins as well?

Thanked by: Bear-Faced Cow, Scott Eshleman and drumjack52Another question for the OP: what exact mouse are you using and what exact driver? There are some that one can set actions that are program specific. Or are squirelly like Steermouse. I don’t care how ‘expert’ one thinks they are on computers there’s always the simplest of things (that you wouldn’t think they’d cause a problem) that can cause a problem. Been in the computer thing for decades and have seen some really odd problems that defy logic.

I’m not seeing this behaviour in Logic either. I’m using a standard Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad and both work as expected.
You might want to check your Gestures as well as Accessibility as John suggested.

If it was gesture or mouse related, wouldn’t the problem happen on both plugin & standalone? Are you on MacOS 26.02 and Logic 12?

Not necessarily. Daws can interpret so called standard commands differently than standalone. For instance cmd-W will close a whatever Finder window has focus but in ProTools it won’t close a plugin window if it has focus.

I’m referring to the mouse/trackpad gestures. Not keyboard commands, That’s a different animal altogether.

Yikes. I am definatley seeing this with the latest Logic (12.0.1) and the most recent version of Tahoe. Very sluggish response in SD3. No other plugins seem to give me this issue (so far)
M4 Mac Mini • 24GB RAM • OSX 26.3 • UA Quad • Logic 12.0.1 • Kontakt 7 • Superior 3.4.3
I’m experiencing trackpad problems when trying to select instruments in SD3 on my MacBook Pro using Tahoe, I tap to click and listen and nothing happens until the 3-4th click, is like a sensitivity issue, with my Logitech mouse it works ok.
