I have a song which I created in 2017 using Superior Drummer 2 I’m revisiting. I’m using a Metal Foundry preset. I want to open the exact same kit in Superior Drummer 3 but I can only seem to save it as a Superior Drummer 2 save file.s20. Is there a way to open it in SD 3 or do I have to recreate the kit from scratch?

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi there,

If you still have access to SD2 you can save a combined preset within the SDX itself, not an s20 file. You should be able to then load the same SDX into SD3 and then open the combined preset file to get you part way there. Been a while since I needed to do this, but I believe all the kit pieces were in place, but some routing and mixer/effects needed to be redone.
