Where in the EZ drummer libraries can I find 1 and 2 bar rolls and swells for cymbals, toms and snare drums?
Hi,
Cymbal Swells (Cresc.+Dim.) and Snare Rolls would easiest be found in the EZdrummer 2 Core Library. The Classic Rock EZX. has got some Gong/Cymbal swells.
Tom Fills are in most expansions. If you have e.g. a Snare pattern/roll you like, you can easily distribute the hits from Snare to Toms in the Grid Editor or the Edit Play Style window.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanHi John,
Thanks so much for the reply.
I have EZ Drummer 3. I assume the cymbal swells would be in there as well. I just can’t find them. Could you point me to the right place?
What library has a 1 bar snare roll? I haven’t come across those.
Best,
John
Hi,
the EZdrummer 2 Core library is a separate product from EZdrummer 3, so those drums and the MIDI is not automatically part of EZdrummer 3.
I would recommend you use the ‘Shop Webshop MIDI’ button in the Grooves page to Search for what you need.
Creating a Cymbal Swell in the Grid Editor is pretty easy, though.
Select the Crash 1 Row and the Pen Tool, set Humanixe to Off and the Resolution to 1/16t or 1/32. Drag with the Pen Tool from Bar 1 to Bar2, which gives you a lot of notes at full velocity. Switch to the Pointer Tool again and select the notes. Make sure the Velocity lane is visible and drag the left ‘Slope’ button downward. Add a few steps of Randomize and play with the sliders as you see fit. For a two-handed swell, you can create the hits at e.g. 1/8t create the ramp and then copy the hits to Crash 2 and slide the swell 1/16t later.

John
