Hello hello,
I hope someone can help me with this issue. I am pretty sure I have seen the same behaviour back in the day when EZBass came out but then it was patched.Well, I am afraid it is back again. Basically this sequence of not will be played as a slide even though I didnt tell EZBass to do so. This means that there is no attack and by the time it reaches the third note, one can barely hear the bass. I have zoomed in as much as I could and the notes are not covering each other.
This makes it basically unusable outside of the build in MIDI editor, which I have been struggling greatly with, because I dont have the muscle memory. It is a bit frustrating because I just got a new extension, updated EZBass and then I see this issue again.
Anyone has any ideas? btw. I am using Reaper v6.80.
Thanks,
T.
Are you using the Grid Editor in EZB or just the PianoRoll Editor in your DAW?
MacBook Air M3 OSX 14.7.2 | Logic Pro | Toontrack EZDrummer 3 | Tootrack EzBass | M-Audio AIR 192-14 | Schecter, Maton, Fender, DBZ & Epiphone Electric and Acoustic Guitars |
PianoRoll Editor in my DAW. Thats what I have been using for the past couple of years and I have never had this issue. Only when EZBass came out and I got it. The issue disappeared with the first patch Toontrack did.
Here an MP3 to illustrate how it sounds.
Hi,
if you shorten the notes just a tick so the end of the notes don’t extend to the next?

Hi John,
when I shorten the note just a hair then it works as expected. If I put the cursor in the middle of the first note and press play, then the second one is played regularly without a legato even if I purposefully extend the first note so it goes over the second note. I did report this as an issue and somebody from Toontrack got back to me that this is indeed an issue since version 1.3.1 and that I should uninstall it and install 1.2.0 instead.
Cheers,
T.
