Hi there, am having issues installing Superior drummer 3. It seems to be stuck in this constant loop of downloading an update, installing, then saying it needs to download the update again and the product isnt fully installed. I am then wanting to install the Basic sound library to my SSD and i get this error “The selected folder is not a valid installation of Superior Drummer 3 Library”. I also dont seem to be able to uninstall the main superior drummer program to try reinstall it, or move the installation itself to the SSD. Please let me kn0w what I can do
Cheers
Dan
The main program is supposed to go into a folder called Toontrack that gets put in the Applications folder on your system drive. I don’t believe that can be changed. The main library can go anywheres you want it to go – you specify that path Toontrack Product Manager. Make sure you’re running in admin mode on your Mac and not a ‘guest’ account and that you have write permission for that drive. It’s been a while since I’ve done an install and don’t remember if SD3 triggers the Mac’s Gatekeeper or not. You don’t need to uninstall SD3 to reinstall it or update it – updates overwrite the current install.
