Hi all, my first post here!
I’ve been really enjoying diving into Superior Drummer 3and wish I’d discovered this VST years ago!
Quick question: is there a way to boost the volume of the open hi-hat specifically, without affecting the closed hi-hat level? I’ve tried adjusting the overall hi-hat mix, but I’m hoping there’s a more granular way to dial it in.
Click on the hi-hat in the picture of the drum set, then click on the articulations and select all of the open hi-hat articulations, there are many – and you can hold shift to select several at the same time. Then on the right in the property box adjust the level of all of those selected articulations. Or alternatively, click each open articulation one at a time and adjust it’s level.
And if you haven’t aready, save this as a user preset. I like that kit too and think I just raised the volume on all the whole hi-hat.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanYou should be able to adjust the pad midi sensitivity for each articulation of each instrument in the ‘drum’ tab. You could also try a different hi-hat in SD. After hits are recorded you can adjust one or all of them in the ‘tracker’ tab.
Alternatively, you can adjust them in your DAW, but that can be laborious.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanThanks for the quick reply, Tom, I really appreciate it. It’s amazing how simple the solution is once you know where to look.
As you probably guessed, I hadn’t realised you could adjust levels for individual articulations. The articulation window closing when focus shifts to a property had thrown me off…
All best, Roy
