What is the hot key to play from the beginning of the track?

and is there a Ripple command that automagically move all the patterns to the right in a track when inserting a a pattern in the middle?

Every DAW and video editor can do this.

Please reference the manual where this is because when I did a RTFM search on Ripple i got this:

Sorry, your search for ripple didn´t return any results.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    Hi there,

No “Shuffle” or “Ripple” edit functionality (it has been discussed before, so never say never)

There’s a move cursor to start shortcut (Option/Enter), you have to press “Space” to play.

You can view and modify all shortcut keys in Superior Drummer 3 Settings > General > Shortcut Keys Tab

OK, it seems to be working.

Sorry, I’m not actually replying to this topic in that. I am trying out my new dictation on my new Apple laptop.

With regards to ripple, I have never heard this term used anywhere with regards to music and or drums. In my head that is only a thing you get with water. This is certainly a better dictation system than the windows dictation services

    Cheers everyone

Brad, Thanks for the tip!  Ctrl, Enter works on PC to play from start.

For those and the SD programmers who don’t know what auto-ripple is it’s a feature that is in all DAWs and video editors that automatically moves everything to the left of the time line left or right as grooves are added, deleted, lengthened or shortened.

Can’t believe a $400 program as advanced as SD3 can’t even have a simple feature as this.

I use Vegas Pro and auto ripple’s been around over 10 years long before SD3.  ((:

Never heard of it. Cubase doesn’t have something called ripple. It does however have the ability to nudge forward or back.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

    Hi Mark,

I also use Cubase 14 and true, it doesn’t have an “auto Ripple” but in addition to nudging, you can use Shift and double click on an event which selects all events to the end and move all of them. (:

..All this talk about ripple got flashbacks of Sanford and Son… Showing my age sorry.
