SD3 question about layering instruments:
My goal Is: As a fingerdrummer I want to be able to play multiple kit pieces at once with one keyboard key, e. g. the kick and the crash, while still being able to also play these kit pieces individually.
When new instruments are added in the top left corner, they use additional RAM, even when these very kit pieces are already loaded.
Also they sound different, as they don’t have the effects applied.
So is there a way to let’s say have the kick on C1, the Crash on D1 and the Kick and Crash stacked on E1 in SD3 itself?
Or do I have to open SD3 within Cubase and do it with some MIDI trickery like Logical Editor or MIDI Transfomer?
(Drum Maps don’t work, because you can’t route the same In-Note to multiple notes.
Expression Maps don’t work, because while you can output multiple notes (as KeySwitches), they have a fixed velocity.)
Any help is appreciated!
