hi folks,
I’m trying to program a drum fill in the context of a song.
the problem im having is that if I use the record button on the ez drummer transport, ez drummer record my playing, but I don’t hear the other instruments in my daw ( cubase 13) as I am recording. on the other hand, if I use the record button in cubase, I can hear the other instruments, but my playing isn’t recorded in ez drummer.
I have the follow host activated.
can anyone advise me on this?
thanks,
David
The Record button in EZD3 shouldn’t record until playback is initiated. So hit the EZD3 record button and then hit play in your DAW.

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. I am pressing playback. First I press record, then I press play. Same results as described In my first post.
Hmmm. Curious. I can’t get it to not work on my system. Cubase 14, Windows 11 EZD 3.1.0.
To clarify, you’re not pressing play in EZD3 after you press the Record button first? Only the Cubase play button?

Going off your first post and Scott’s first response. It’s easy to read quickly and not get the details.
Now you’re recording in EZDrummer while your DAW plays back.
