With an old R8 drum machine I used to like to stereo split a couple snare sounds to get a really fat snare. I don’t see a way to do that with ezDrummer outside of inserting an entire 2nd instance and panning the two instance’s snares L and R. Make the programming a bit tedious. Anything I’m missing?

The second version of EZ Drummer is pretty much your only viable alternative. Stacking a snare is a feature that is found in Superior Drummer.

Just a few EZXs have 2 snare slots. The latest Fusion EZX for example. Using two instances isn’t tedious if you route the midi from one instance to another.

Thanked by: confundido… Or if you have a DAW, that allows you to stack both instances and control them both with one set of MIDI.

Thanked by: confundidoThanks for the responses. I don’t own Pop Punk or Fusion.
Regarding the DAW supporting “stacking”, lemme make sure I’ve got it right. I add a 2nd ezDrummer and set the source as the same MIDI track. I select a different kit (or at least a different snare) and only assign the snare output from the second instance. And then ta-dah I have two snare tracks and I can pan them individually. Doesn’t give me note-level control and I can’t do stereo flams but automation can bring it in and out. That could work. Thanks for the idea.
