You can move all your libraries and presets to your new machine without downloading and installing them again, I would suggest putting them on an external SSD, it makes migration so much easier in the future… I know… you’re not planning on it again, but never say never.

You will have to install the plugins and standalone software. You will also have to authorize the software and libraries on your new machine, and de-authorize them on your old one.

On your old machine and go into settings: Libraries/paths and just take not of where all your current libraries are installed.

You can either copy by network mounting your new computer to your old one, or get an external SSD (see my previous comment) and plug it into your old machine and copy them to it.

EZMix for the most part, you will have to download and install each add-on. They’re not very big.

    • Hi,
    • I did a back up with time machine and instaled it on the new mac. I had an mac mini late 2012 and migrated everything to my mac book pro m2. And it worked fine.

    Thanks for the speedy Reply,

I think thats what I end up doing as it will be the easiest with every plugin as well as toontrack products.

    Thanks.

The thing to keep in mind with doing a transfer from the old machine to the new one is will your old plugins work on the new operating system? Doing things that way you may well have a LOT of updating to do. What ever way you go take your time.
