New releases and tons of deals – all centered around one of our favorite themes: rock! Power up your songwriting toolbox!
You have kits after kits after kits but they’re the same cymbals over and over.
What I WOULD spend money on is a SDX of great/boutique cymbals. I mean Mehmets, Bosphorus, Sabian Crescent, Hammerax, Spizzichino, etc. a wide variety of boutique jazz rides and hats would be something I’d HAPPILY drop coin on. Mass produced cymbals like Sabians and Zildjians are okay, but some handmade boutique/exotic/high end ones would be chef’s kiss for those of us who play jazzier stuff that isn’t as dependent on snare/tom/bass.
+1
Dell Precision 7730, i7 6 Core 2.6 GHz, 128GB RAM, 1TB SSD and 3 x 2TB SSD, Windows 11, Cubase Pro 14, SD3 plus a variety of SDX's and EZX's, Orchestral Percussion, EZBASS, RME BabyFace Pro FS and KRK V4 monitors. Modified Yamaha DTX900, DTXPRESS4 and Edrumin10 triggering SD3. Yamaha pads/cymbals and Roland VH-10 HiHat. PDP Maple acoustic kit for live playing.
A little late, but this would be a great idea. A cymbal expansion pack would be awesome!
Agree with this. But I don’t necessarily just want boutique makers, I just want a range of differently voiced cymbals from earthy/trashy to clean/sparkly recorded in fairly neutral spaces.
I have a lot of SDXs and EZXs and I would say most of the cymbals in the libraries I have lean toward Istanbul Agop and Vintage Zildjians.
I would love to see more Meinls – they have a huge range and many different lines. Could you do packs of specific manufacturers or would that be frowned upon?
