    Hi,

I’ve just bought 4 more EXB expansions (60’s – Fretless – Session Player – Americana)

I’m blown away by how real they sound … and I play bass!!

    So my question is,

If I’m playing notes into Cubase and using the keywswitch D0 I get lovely repeating notes.

    This shows in Cubase as (let’s say an 1/8th note bass on line on C) C – DO – C – D0 – C – D0 – C etc and has a lovely flowing sound.

If I drag this sequence into the EZ Bass Grid Editor is shows as, C – C – C – C – C – C and the D0 notes have gone and have been converted into the same pitch as the main note.

The sound seems just as flowing so to further my question …

Does EZ Bass Grid Editor handle notes that are butted up to each other with no gaps the same as playing a note and using the keyswitch D0 ?

Thank you for any advice you can offer.

    Hi there,

“D0” in EZBass means to repeat the last note. That is why when you take MIDI from a DAW that has “D0” in them, they’re converted to the note preceding it for as long as the D0 is held down for.

    Pencil-Notes

In the example I just penciled the notes in with no gaps and the notes repeat just as if I hit G# followed by D0.

    Hope this answers your question.
