In Cubase it saves with the project. What you should save is your midi maps. Also you can’t duplicate a note number on another instrument. They have to be exclusive. (Not withstanding stacking)

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

Further to Mark’s post, it is better to map your Maschine Mikro to Superior Drummer than the other way around.

as for your top mapping discovery, Superior Drummer will fire the nearest neighbor in the group. This allows continuity for grooves and external players.

    Hi, Thanks for reply.

I did, first, map the pads on Maschine to SD3. But after reading the manual It seemed to be easier to map in the software…

I understand that I can t map two different instrument to the same pad, I am not shure which of all HiHat articulations I should map to..

Even if I do the config on Mashine and load an other drumset with more toms and cymbals I have to make a new map on maschine for every time? doesnt I?

You might be overthinking this. You don’t need to map every single articulation to your Maschine Mikro.  You would start with the ones that you would play 99% of the time. The Maschine Mikro is flexible in that you can map them any way you want, including mapping two pads for one articulation (I use this for snares and hats).  Not too mention that you would want to map the pads in a way that fits your playing style.

The Maschine Mikro has up to 16 pad groups which are in a sense 16 different maps that you can change on the fly to suit your playing style. In those different pad groups you can have different articulations that you are going to use.

You can also store different mapping sets for the various kits. There’s plenty you can do with the Maschine Mikro as far Superior Drummer goes.

    Hi, Thanks for answer,

I do like you suggest, I do not just get why the Tom and HIHAt was changing pad with each other suddenly, some conflict, yes, well now I alter the Mashine instead so the pads equals same Midinumber as SD3..

    Thanks ! Micke.
