Retain recorded drum sounds while using grid editor

    The only way I can see you being able to manipulate your drum sounds in the grid editor is by loading each sample into the articulations. However, you are then dealing with one shot samples that would probably sound more drum machine like in nature. Even if you go the Superior Drummer library route, there will be room differences and stuff and it will more than likely be noticeable. Not saying it can’t be done, but it can be  a ton of work for little return. If you want to keep it real, the best choice I can think of is to take a fill from another part of your drum track and graft it in over your bad fill.

    Can’t you substitute fills from another section or just paste a rhythm? If not then you really are giving yourself a massive job, as matching sounds and getting it to sound right, will take a lot of work. Well unless you go in a different direction and do something completely different for the fills.

    SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer.     I can’t. It’s to your second point. The fills are different and the song section is different. Thank you for the input tho.
