I know DFH EZX is the original (1999) library but is it included in any SD2 or SD3 libraries? I dont want to buy a duplicate.

Someone told me it’s some of the SD2 core library but I can’t find any info on it.
I believe this was answered by Brad on the Superior Drummer forum: the team that made DFH also made Metal Foundry as well as Area 33 and Area 33 Origins.  Since the original DFH predates Superior Drummer they’re probably isn’t enough information worthy of an SDX. However, there is nothing stopping you from using an EZX in Superior Drummer. You have full control over all of the available channels and can shape it in any way you want. However, if that is not enough, then the expansion packs listed above, will probably be as close as you can get.

And wouldn’t you know it: Area 33 Origins is on sale today at time of this posting.

Thanked by: BradI’m just asking if I’m ending up with duplicate sounds IF I buy DFH. I have ALL of the SDX libraries but DFH is the OG and it sounds great.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear about that. I should have said that at the start 🙂
DFH was recorded at dugout Studios. That is a different location than the other packs. So even if the kits were the same, the sounds are bound to be different because of the room among other factors.
