Hi there,
I’m using a digital snare with EZD3, and I can see it sending positional data to EZD, but I’m not sure that I’m getting different zone sounds for off center hits. Does anyone have experience getting this working well with EZD? It looks like the default snare has more options than any of my expansion packs, but it’s still a little confusing.
Any help is appreciated!
Some drums have a bigger difference between center and edge than others. Try Jeff Ocheltree Carbon Steel in Bright Room.

Thanked by: 12manyhobbiesOn the Grid Editor near the bottom where it says Velocity. Click there to expand the midi values editor. If you see a CC# assigned to snare, then you have the positioning attribute. Older EZXs for the most part will not have it.
The data written here while you record your edrums is what changes your articulation.
I’m not big into this stuff, so my terms may be off.

If you are using an older EZX then you may not have zone control as earlier versions or EZ Drummer probably didn’t support zone control, so there was no mappings. Newer EZXs will have the zone control.
