How do I import EZ drummer 3 into Digital Performer? I have downloaded it to my hard drive and it shows up in preferences under plug ins but I can’t create a drum track in DP. Am I missing something obvious?
I don’t use MIDI in my projects, so that may be the problem I found out. I checked a couple videos but am not sure how to import a drum pattern from EZ drums into a midi track.
I am not very tech savvy, sorry. I assume I can’t just drag it into an audio track.
You should check your reference documentation on how to create an instrument track and put EZ Drummer on it. From there you can place the drum grooves on EZ Drummer’s timeline. That way, it would allow you make changes and edits to your patterns without having to really worry about what MIDI is all about.

I pulled up a MIDI track and dragged a sample 4 bar groove into it from EZD. I can see the signal on the fader, but no sound coming through the board. Also I now have a new option to add an instrument track with a Toontrack EZ Drummer in the dropdown menu. When I select it, however no new track appears in the track window.
BTW, I appreciate everyone’s help, as you can see I’m a newbie.
Seeing as you’re on a Mac, use shift-cmd-5 to take your screenshot and post that. Those shots are way too small to come with with anything discernible.
