Click on any of the keyboard symbols I’ve outlined.

    Thanks Mick,

I already know about those symbols, which are also available in the Mixer…but they ain’t workin’ for me. Whether I click it on the arrange page or in the mixer, all I get is that GUI in my screenshot, which is an expandable thingy which has loads and loads of (presumably) automatable dials etc…but No Actual EZD GUI.

I’m on Studio One 5 Pro, and have EZDrummer 2 on a track in a song.

When I loaded it, the GUI of the EZD opened and I could access the Mixer etc of EZD, everything was fine, and I sequenced the drums, but now, when I try to open the GUI of EZD all I get is the little box shown in my attached screenshot.

I’ve tried rebooting etc, and also tried a 2nd EZD in a different track, but it still doesn’t open the GUI, which is needed to setup the EZD mix, and prepare it for bouncing down to individual WAVs for mixing within S1.

All and any advice on resolving this is appreciated.

    Hi there,

Is this specific to this session or does it happens to a new session as well?

It looks like the Studio One channel editor is coming up instead of the EZDrummer 2 UI.

Would you be able to save the session to a new folder, remove all the audio tracks, zip the folder and post it here.

Also you may want to post the issue over in the Presonus Studio One forum.

    Thanks Brad,

Here’s the .zip of the session without WAVs. I did .zip it but it was too big to link below (3.3mb – I wouldn’t have thought a song data file would be so large), so I’ve tried including a Dropbox link. It should work for you. If not, please let me know how I can get it to you.

I just spent about an hour Googling around for how to disable MicroView within Studio One but could only find stuff regarding S1-V6, and I’m still on S1-V5, which generally meets my needs, so don’t want to fork over more cash for an upgrade.

Also, those vids were addressing the issue when applied to an FX plugin eg; EQ or Compressor, not an actual 3rd Party Instrument Plugin, which doesn’t reside in the slots for FX plugs.

I hope you can make sense of this. It’s strange that when I began that session (.zip) I was able to open the GUI as expected, and it’s only now, later in the session, that the GUI has disappeared.

Hi there yes I googled it too, just an exercise futility. I’m away for one more day so I will take a look at it tomorrow night, I’m sure we’ll figure it out.

I’m not a Studio One expert (I’ve been evaluating it since I got a six-month sub for buying a FaderPort), but I googled this online and found that it may have to do with an installation gone bad as it doesn’t seem to be able to find the graphics. Are you using the VST or AU version of EZ Drummer in Studio One?

    Thanks Jordan,

I’m using the AU version on MacBook Air OSX Sonoma. Hopefully someone at Toontrack can sort it out, which I’m sure will happen eventually. The weirds thing is that I was using it as expected with full GUI, and only later in the session did this error occur. It also happens when I try it in a new, blank session in S1. Maybe a Studio One issue..? Dunno, but we’ll figure it out.

pending Brad’s suggestion, have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling (customized to ensure the AU in reinstalled) via the product manager?

In Logic, there is a setting called “Controls view”. Studio One probably has a similar setting that causes this.

I’ve solved this by installing the Free Demo of EZDrummer 3, which seems pretty good, so reckon I’ll buy it…onwards and upwards…

You won’t regret it, you can still use your EZD2 libraries, but the features you just upgraded to are outstanding.

Still… I did run your session (even installed Studio One 5 on one of my test systems) and the UI showed up.

    Head scratcher….
