When I use a midi keyboard, how do you get EZKeys to read the modulation wheel midi? Pitch bend works but not the modulation wheel. Also, can the wheels be adjusted within the program without a keyboard?
Hi,
the CC1 data would only work for Rotary Speed with the Session Organ EKX. Piano EKX:s do not respond to CC1 data.
You can, however, map CC1 data to one of the Effects Knobs for automation. You can write automation by hand in the Grid Editor.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanThank you for getting back to me so fast. I have the Synthware EKX Sound Expansion and it is surprising that the mod wheel doesn’t easily work with the great Pads. Mapping CC1 data into an Effects Knob to hear it doesn’t sound like a creative procedure. I’m not sure how to do it, anyway.
In the example of Synthwave EKX, you would perhaps be interested in moving the ‘Filter’ knob with the Mod wheel?
If so, right-click the ‘Filter’ knob and go to ‘Bind to CC > CC1’. Â Now the Mod wheel controls the ‘Filter’ knob and can also be automated in the Curve Edit Lane (the Velocity lane is visible by Default). If you Bind other controls as well, I suggest you save as User Preset, also found by right-clicking a knob.
