Many of the grooves in Latin Percussion sound really bland/boring. I looked at the midi content in the grid editor in EZDrummer3 and see that the ghost notes are being played but are so quiet that they add nothing to the groove (especially on the cajon), I deleted all of the other elements from the midi groove except the ghost notes, and turned up their velocity, but they are are still so quiet. I’ve reinstalled the ezx, midi content, and update, but the problem still persists.
Thinking maybe it was an issue with the midi files, I tried to trigger the notes from my midi keyboard. I was pounding on the keys for the cajon ghost strokes (notes 10 and 11), but heard nothing (same issue for the cajon brush strokes at note 87 and 114, right and left, respectively).
The three grooves I tested were in the Cajon set in the Latin Percussion EZX library: Pop/Rock_Soft Straight_Groove 03_Variation 3; Funk Slap_Straight_Groove 01_Variation 04; Funk Slap_Straight Marvin_Groove 03_Variation 04.
Just to be sure, I loaded up the EZX in EZDrummer 2 with the same midis and got the same results.
