Hi,
I’m new to using EZ Drummer with my old Roland TD-10 kit. I selected the my Roland kit under Settings/E-Drums/MIDI In …/Preset. The issue I have is that the snare drum is really sensitive. If you tap the stick on the side of the shell it triggers a center hit. Side stick doesn’t work. It also triggers a center hit.
I tried other swapped the Roland snare with on of the Roland toms and it has the same issue. I tried a different cable without luck. I reset my Roland TD-10 back to factory defaults but that hasn’t fixes the issue.
I also tested the TD-10 stock sounds (without EZ Drummer) Â just to make sure there wasn’t anything weird going on, and it works perfectly fine. Sidestick works and the side of the drum doesn’t trigger.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Sorry the delay in replying. I made sure my Roland TD-10 was selected. But what I noticed that the snare mappings seem to be missing. See the screenshot below:
Could this be the issue? How would I reset it back to default?
I tried using the Learn function but everything either gets assigned to Note Number 38 or 40.
For example I click on Center and then Learn and hit the middle of the snare. Center gets assigned to 38. I click on Rimshot and then Learn. Perform a rimshot and 38 moves to Rimshot and Center now is blank.
Same issue with Sidestick and Rim Only getting assigned to 40.

It sounds like you may be experiencing cross talk in your snare. As was stated earlier, try adjusting your pad sensitivity.
