Hi, I know that in Cubase, you can change where you want count one of bar one to start. Then, in the ruler, there, the number one will be placed. Before number one you will have bar 0, before that  bar -1, etc. After the number one in the ruler bar nummers add up as normal. But if you use this Cubase-feature, Toontrack EZdrummer and EZkeys do not go along with that. That are the Toontrack vsti’s I use. So then I also have a difference in bar numbers between Cubase and the vsti’s i mentioned. Very UNhandy. So, maybe something like this happens in your daw as well…? Hope this helps.

    Hi Lycalp,

which DAW are you using? Is there any way for you to screen capture when this is happening?

    Hi John

Daniel Spreadbury (Steinberg Dorico producer, Dorico is a notationprogram which can load VSTi like a DAW: Dorico: Notationssoftware | Steinberg…) already answered:

It’s a problem in Dorico, with a boring technical reason. There’s nothing you can do about this at the moment, I’m afraid – it requires some changes in the way the tempo and time signature synchronization features work.

    Then I asked:

Dear Daniel! Thank you very much for your quick answer! What a pity!
Could there be a “workaround” with this TXL Timecode Expert 2…? Like it’s explained in this video: Streamline Your Composing Workflow – Sync Dorico & Cubase (youtube.com) 2

If yes, is there someone who did this with Dorico and EZkeys 2 running? Thank you very much for your support and best wishes!

Do you probably have any ideas?

    Hello John

My post seems to be marked as spam… Did you get it…?

    Here is a Screenvideo: Dorico – EZKeys.mp4

OK, I see. This is indeed a problem with your host then. It must affect other Dorico users so hopefully they will correct this soon.

    John
