Muting custom samples via second hit

I imported a longer custom sample as a new instrument und mapped it to Tom1. How can I achieve that the ongoing sample is stopped with a second hit on Tom1? Searched the internet and even asked ChatGTP but couldn’t find a solution.

Hi,

it doesn’t work that way. The only way, as I see it, is to Enable the Envelope, set the Release to something very short and assign the Release trigger to ‘Aftertouch’. Alternatively trigger from something else than a pad, so you can set the Release trigger to ‘Note Off’.

Hi John,

many thanks for your reply! So I’m triggering the sample from Crash 1 and mute it with aftertouch. Not 100% what I wanted but does the trick pretty well.
