By your signature, you should just use the CoreAudio capabilities built in. Deselect the MIDI device that you don’t wish to control EZ Drummer with. Is your synth hardware or software?

That’s an option, yes, but I’m not understanding why EZ will only work on the default if there are 12 channels to choose from. The synth is hardware. I don’t want to have to do that every time I want to use either.

I just tested the MIDI in, setting it to a specific channel and it is working without issue.

I am curious as to your setup, however. Are you using a DAW to play EZ Drummer and your hardware synth at the same time?

Yes I’m using Pro Tools to use EZ, my synth on the other hand is a Novation Peak and novation midi controller keyboard. The synth is controlled with the midi controller keyboard. Audio from said synth is going into an SSL12 interface, then going into protools on its own independent audio track.

Use your DAW to separate the controllers in this case. It can filter which controller EZ Drummer will receive its information from.
