Is it possible to export and import User Presets from one computer to another?
Yes. Of course you need to have the same packs on the other computer. Also if using edrums then also put the edrum map on it too. If you go to user presets you can see there is an open folder option. Just copy them from there. I do both when I send to a friend who also has sd3.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

Thanked by: Paul AndrewI knew that the same packs needed to be installed, that was a no-brainer, but it was the User Presets that had me concerned. I don’t have any edrums at the other computer, so the drum map isn’t an issue. I just opened a song on the second computer for the first time since installing SD3 on it and that song has a SD3 track in it and it looks like it works as is without copying anything from the first computer. A little surprising, but I haven’t tried to record any new tracks on it yet so there still may be some issues. I’ll probably copy the presets over anyways like you suggested just to be safe. Thanks for such a fast response!
I wish that more things would work out that way, where you anticipate a potential issue but it doesn’t turn out to be a problem. I didn’t think reverse psychology worked on computer programs! 😎😏
If you set the path of your user presets to a folder in your cloud drive on both computers, you can share them that way. Both computers will be up do date.

If you saved a full project then that contains all the information including song data etc. presets contain only their own information.
