Dear TT,
Just me again, your old friend Billy86, sounding like a broken record. Apologies for that, but I’m dealing with your broken EZ Bass, which seven months ago now, September 2023, you admitted was broken and promised a fix for this: https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/please-please-interacting-with-midi-in-one-block-alters-midi-in-other-blocks/
7 months now, and it’s been nothing but crickets. In fact, it’s been almost an entire year (May 2023, EZB 1.1.8) since there have been any bug fixes, let alone improvements. Feature requests are obviously useless as well. A simple yes/no question: have you abandoned EZB, the software? You keep pumping out EB midi for us to buy, but what about the program? Are you done with it?
I can only suppose you chose to first respond to the foot-stomping community demand for a xylophone, instead of de-bugging an existing broken piece of software. Now that we have our xylophones, would you please, please fix this issue?
SD3, EZD, EZ Keys 1&2, EZ Bass. Win10, i9/9900, all SSDs, 64g RAM, Cakewalk, Studio One
My guess is that they are working on an EZ Bass 2 or Superior Bass. This is strictly my guess and only based on the fact that, like you said, there hasn’t been any updates to EZ Bass in a very long time.
Wouldn’t it be so wonderful if they let us know. Anything. This is the least transparent and communicative company I’ve ever experienced. Mind-boggling, really…

Thanked by: Richard MarusarzMy guess is that all of their resources are being used on Superior Drummer 4. It’s a logical consideration in that EZ Drummer 3 now has features that SD3 does not. But that is certainly no excuse for their lack of fixing products that they have acknowleged have problems. I don’t know what has happened with Toontrack. I do remember when they were a great company, their updates were solid, and they were responsive to users’ issues on these forums. Now, none of that is true. It seems they have lost their way and at this point are mostly involved in making money by trying to gain new customers at the expense of taking care of their existing ones. This is the same thing that has happened with other plugin companies that have gotten too big for their britches. (you know of whom I speak…)
Cubase Pro, Korg Kronos, M-50, Hammond XK-1c, Toontrack SD3, EZBass w/lots of expansions, many VSL Vi's, Shreddage 3 everything, and shit-tons of FX plugins.

Thanked by: Richard Marusarzit’s also possible they’re in “netscape mode”. many companies trying to get bought will perform very few updates and at the same time do a lot of marketing and sales drives to get numbers up in hopes of being bought out and getting that nice pay day. at the end of the day, many smaller businesses, the owners at some point like the idea of acquistion by a larger company freeing them up to pursue other business or hobbies.
