Hello,
I’ve been getting error “The sound library superior drummer 3 needs to be reinstalled…” when opening SD3 standalone and in DAW, as seen in attached screenshot. When I go to Toontrack Product Manager, I cannot find option for reinstall. Could you please advise on steps to be taken. I have several libraries besides the core one (Decades, Stories and Legacy of Rock).
Thanks
Go to the Product Manager and click on the Superior Drummer Library Part 1 – Basic Sound Library. Click on ‘Download’ and do just like you did when you first installed SD3. Sorry but there’s no easy way to find out exact library section you need to reinstall. The first thing I would check though is the drive the samples are stored on as it may have issues.

Thanked by: fridemanHi,
it looks like all library parts except Part 1 – Basic Library, has got corrupt soundbunches. Your Part 1 *should* be good but Jack’s advice on checking the drive first and foremost is very valid, since you would like to figure out how the sound bunches could get corrupted.

Thanked by: fridemanThank you all, I reinstalled all the SD3 libraries and everything works fine now. I will check the drive, as per your advices.
Something to add to this: run some software that can check your drive for issues. I had a weird one a few years ago where the physical drive itself (7200 rpm spinner) was okay but the electronics in the drive interface had failed. If this is an external ssd drive maybe replace the cables as they can fail with no warning. Can be fine for a while and then everything goes sideways.
