I have EZDrummer 3 and enjoy using it. However I have one issue I would like help with.
In all the “out-of-the-box” presets the cymbals, particularly the hi-hats, the volumes are very low and easily get lost in a mix. I would like them to be more prominent and defined. I have tried playing around with the mixer settings but can’t quite get the hi-hats as up front as I personally like.
Does anyone have any tips to help?
Many thanks in advance 🙂
We would need to hear a mixdowns before we can say what you need to do. Do you have any we can hear? Shut hi hats are nearly always quieter than the rest of a kit.
To add, you can always raise or lower individual instruments’ volumes on the Drums page, which happens before the Mixer.

Many thanks for responding so quickly.👍 Unfortunately I haven’t got that far yet, but will begin by trying the adjustment of individual volumes of instruments in kit as suggested elsewhere.
Thanks for responding so quickly 👍. As I haven’t a mix to send I’ll begin there.
If you’re in the tracking and not at the mixing phase of your song, you shouldn’t be worrying about where the hi-hats should be just yet. There might be other tracks that you are putting in that may obscure your hats. You should sort all of this when mixing.
