    Hi,

all Toontrack MIDI resides in the same place, so even if your SDX libraries are on the external drive, the MIDI isn’t necessarily there.

Did you try  going to Settings > Advanced > Restore MIDI Database?

If you go to Settings > Libraries/Paths and scroll down to ‘Additional Libraries’, what is the path set to?
If you browse to that location in the Finder and open the ‘Midi’ folder inside, there should be a ‘000011@SUPERIOR_DRUMMER_3’ folder, is that right?

    BR,
    John

    Thanks for your reply John.

Restoring database doesn’t solve the issue.

The additional library path doesn’t quite match up to my setup and there doesn’t appear to be a MIDI folder for Superior Drummer, only EZdrummer. I cannot find the ‘000011@SUPERIOR_DRUMMER_3 file. I’ve attached screenshot…Screenshot-2024-02-21-at-09.25.24

    Hi,

that is not the correct folder. The Toontrack MIDI (and EZX:s) reside in a specific place on a system, much like certain presets in SD3 must. SDX libraries, on the other hand can be installed and pointed to any location, even a network drive.
BTW, you seem to have both the installed SD3 Core Library and installer packages for both the EZd3 Core Library and SD3 SDX Part 2, along with updaters in the same main folder. I wouldn’t recommend having Downloads and Installed libraries within the same folder. I hope you are aware of the difference between the Downloads and installed content?

Could you please post a screen shot of the SD3 Settings > Libraries/Paths > ‘Additional Libraries’ location?
And preferably the content in the Finder of that specific location?

    BR,
    John

    Hi John,

I’ve managed to resolve the problem by reinstalling SD3 libraries… everything is now coming up correctly – I had noticed the SD3 part 1 & 2 folders indicated they were incomplete. Not sure how that came about, but all good now.

I’ve also cleared out the various intallers as you suggested.

    Thanks for your support.

    Dave
