I have used EZ Keys & EZ Keys 2 for many years. Whenever I try and export a track as audio it crashes. I searched and have seen that this has been an issue for quite some time. Are they ever going to fix it or is there a workaround? Windows 11 with AMD 7000 processor. 32 gig ram. ROG Strix motherboard.
Hi,
I have never seen that happen myself, where are you exporting to? Which Library and preset are you using?
Are you using the Standalone app or the plug-in? If plug-in, which host? Does this happen every time you Export as Audio or with specific Projects?
FWIW, I just tried exporting the Song Track as Audio file from EZkeys 2 in both Win11 and macOS 13.6.4 to different locations, Desktop and external drive and got expected results.

I’m using the stand alone app. It doesn’t matter which library I’m using. Today it was modern funk. Yesterday it was Latin. I’m exporting to an internal scsi HD. I’ve also tried both of my internal ssd drives as well. I found multiple posts about this exact issue online. I’ll post up the crash log file tomorrow.

one other quick check – if you’ve had updates on the system – you might re-run the installer to make sure the run time components are the right ones. i’ve gotten into the habit after large OS updates or (sadly) MS Edge updates as several times i’ve had my DAW and other programs “break” because the updates installed new run time components which for whatever reason where incompatible. and in one case a security update about a year ago which changed a bunch of directory permissions and i was getting blocked until i re-ran the install (non music program) to have it reset.

There was actually a new EZ Keys update this morning when I went down to my music room to get the crash logs. That update fixed the problem.
