Greetings,
I using EZdrummer3 on my Roland TD17KVX2. I purchased two EZX kits: DEATH METAL EZX and GOSPEL EZX.
Does anyone have situation when using a cymbal sounds from one EZX kit in another drum kit, the cymbals sound very weak? I can increase dB to almost 12+ inside the EzDrummer, and barely hear it?
But if I choose the cymbals from the same kit (for example: DEATH METAL EZX kit, and cymbals that are pre-loaded in that kit, everything is fine?)
Br,
Matko
if you select another cymbal in the list is it better or same? also, maybe the Gospel kit simply has lower level samples or designated velocities which make the cymbal output lower?
i only have the basic kit but there are some cymbals which have slightly different volume levels (possibly due to frequency of the cymbal), and the articulations also vary somewhat in levels (expected)

Thanked by: nygma007Hi,
the two EZX:s you are referring to are very different at their core and the Death Metal EZX presets has very processed drums with Multi-FX happening in the mixer, while the Gospel EZX has more natural sounding drums in comparison. I suspect that the instruments’ levels are comparably lower in the Death Metal EZX to be able to fit in the more processed sounding context. If you bring in a Cymbal from the Gospel EZ into a Death Metal preset, it will be louder, right?
Every EZX has not only different kits, mics and studios but also its own producer, in the end determining the differences between libraries.
You can always raise the volume of one cymbal and lower the volume for the others. If you fell the OH level in general is too low, visit the Mixer and raise that level.

Thanked by: nygma007Hi John,
thank you for your input.
“If you bring in a Cymbal from the Gospel EZ into a Death Metal preset, it will be louder, right?” – Yes, that is correct. As you said, I choose the cymbals from Metal preset in Gospel, and via Mixer gain the volume + individual cymbal per cymbal and make a comfort.
Thanks for the support.
