In Studio One that is correct.
For example, using the Blues Swing 4/4 12 Bars Classic (without the bass pedals) Grooves included with Session Organ; if you drag the MIDI track to the Studio One track which EZKeys 2 is inserted on, another MIDI track is created that you can manually assign to EZKeys 2 and MIDI input 2 (lower keyboard).
If you use the same groove with the bass pedals then another track is created that you would assign MIDI Input 3 to in the Studio One Instrument Input.
