I have purchased Drum MIDI from Odd Grooves and they map their drums for a number of different drum plugins including EZ Drummer and Superior Drummer 3.

    Superior Drummer 3 version: 3.3.6
    Operating system: Windows 11

Cubase Pro, Korg Kronos, M-50, Hammond XK-1c, Toontrack SD3, EZBass w/lots of expansions, many VSL Vi's, Shreddage 3 everything, and shit-tons of FX plugins.

Further elaborating, if you have to remap your grooves, create a map in both SD3 and EZD3 as you will only have to do this once for each product. It’s far less work than remapping the grooves themselves.

Thanks I will look into this. Never created a drum map. I’ll check it out.

But if I do convert midi from say GGD to SD3 will it also play fine in EZD3 or it will have issues?

Yes, it will work. It’s more of a question of how many times you want to do this. You only have to do a map once and you can put one together in pretty short order.

Thanks Jordon. Where would a complete noob learn to do this? Can you buy drum maps already done?

I am assuming the way it works is if I am using GGD midi. I open a GGF drum in SD3 or EZD3? Is that how it works? If I had SSD5 midi you would open a SSD5 map in SD3?

    Thanks

Yes, if you use drum MIDI from another developer, you would want to use a corresponding drum map. I do this between Logic, Reason and Maschine.

Maps are rather easy to make. They’re just matching the incoming MIDI notes to their corresponding kit piece articulations. Once you get a couple of notes down, it becomes fairly routine.
