Vdrums with ‘Electronic Edge’ EZX?

Does anyone use the Electronic Edge EZX with electronic drums? I don’t record music (yet), so just want to trigger the different sounds (9 Cymbal pads, 5 drum pads, 3 pedal pads) with my Vdrums hybrid kit and play! I currently have EZD3 and have a blast playing with the factory kits.

Just want to make sure this expansion is suited for this purpose and/or if the original Electronic EZX would be better.

My opinion is the Electronic Edge is more effect based than a drum machine only compared to the others. Also IMO, if i had to chose it would be synthwave or dance. I might get electronic edge after those to compliment them.

I’d say these EZXs are easy to trigger since they are one-shot based with no articulations.
