Title says it all 😉
Is there an option to turn the springs off when playing in Ezdrummer 3? Or is there an extension where there are snares off options?
Hi Martin,
no such general option, no. There are EZX:s with Wires Off Snares sampled, a few I can think of are:
Americana EZX, Big Band EZX, Big Stage EZX, Classic Rock EZX, Kicks & Snares EZX, Nashville EZX, Post-Metal EZX, Post-Rock EZX and Signature Part 2 EZX.
These all have at least one snare with that option but some have more. I recommend checking them out on their respective product page.

John

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanAwesome, Thx. But when i’m playing is there an option to switch fast? Or do i have to save 2 identical setups and switch while playing?

Hi there,
Sorry, just got out the hospital (old guy surgery). Not sure this helps, but the EZX “In the Pocket” actually has 2 snares. You could set one up with a “snares off” snare from another EZX (Americana for example) and then another with snares on.
Just a thought.

Hope you’re okay, Brad!
Just to expand on this, you would want to allocate another kit piece for the second snare as the MIDI mapping would differ. Otherwise, using two instances of EZD within a DAW is not unusual in this case.

Thanks Jord, all good here, just getting the ‘plumbing’ adjusted, I’ve reached the point where the parts are off warranty 🤣.

Thanked by: Bear-Faced Cowthx for the replies!
I have Ezdrummer 3 + the snares and kicks extension, so… I do have the option to switch to an snare-off snare..But; how can i switch while playing live? I’ve allocated all of my toms and crashes, so ik have no midi allocations left…
