I have a large acoustic to E kit and it requires adding a bunch of extra instruments. But I have not been able to find an option to re-order them. I have to basically delete and re-add which can be very cumbersome when you have 10+ instruments below the one you need to insert.
For example, I currently have 4 jam blocks and after those 4 instruments, there are 4 rototoms. If I wanted to add a 5th jam block, I would either have to replace the first rototom with the 5th jam block then then change the 3 remaining rototoms by one size each and add the 4th one at the end. If I just add the 5th jam block it will land at the bottom away from the other 4 which my OCD will not like. LOL Is there not a way to just add the block then move it to the right spot? Seems odd to me that I can’t just drag it to the position I want.
Are you talking about moving things in the main gui? If so that can’t be done. Which SD3 library are you talking about? Didn’t know there were Rototoms in the main library. You’re just going to have to re-order things when addling them. As long as things trigger as you need them then who cares what the gui looks like?

1. This applies to any library, rototoms are in fields of Rock.
2. I care bc when you are assigning pads and setting them it’s a bit annoying to have to scroll down to configure one out of a consecutive series of like pads. I just prefer to have all my pads in a certain order for ease of config and better visibility of what is what.
3. My OCD = see number 2. Lol
Oh well, figured I would ask. I will manage.
You’re going to have to deal with it like the rest of us. It would be neat to be able to move things around the main screen but ain’t going to happen. Actually I don’t know of any drum plugin that does what you want.

I share the frustration. Not being able to control the order further shows that a lack of ability to rename these x-drums makes things more difficult.
In a similar vein, I also have put 2 posts, one of which is in Requests and Feedback and it relates to the inability to rename extra instruments as they appear on the drums tab and also in mixer tab – under bleed and close mics. Yes I know you can rename the x-drums in the channels but not as above – and if they are not in a “sensible order” (eg 4 rototoms together in order from smallest size to largest size) then very hard to know which is which when assessing bleed.
My two posts are below. If you can add to the Requests/Feedback one then maybe Toontrack will listen.
If you put your issue into Requests/feedback then I will add to this as I agree it is a good idea. cheers, Andrew
