Are you serious that it takes 10 minutes to load of an ssd? How is that drive connected to your system? Internal or external? Hopefully there’s nothing wrong with your system as even on a spinner drive it won’t take 10 minutes to load. For reference my default kit to load is the Death & Darkness one with DW shells and I have it set to load everything into ram from an internal ssd. Less than 30 seconds from SD3 start to fully loaded.

edit for additional: the loading time above is for a 14 gig kit from the ssd which is on a sata card in my MacPro in one of the motherboard card slots.

What are your system specs, processor, RAM. Are you running antivirus software (if yes, try turning it off). Is this stand alone or in a DAW?

What other apps are you running. Have you tried rebooting and then loading SD3 immediately after?

It shouldn’t take that long on windows 11 which I can see you are using. However if you are using an ssd via a usb port it may do. An ssd via a sata interface is much quicker but could still take up to 30 seconds depending on the kit. I use a m.2 drive which takes about 2 seconds to load a kit.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

I get similar loading speeds from my external SSD on USB-C as I do from my Thunderbolt RAIDs. There may be other issues, such as a possible hardware issue with the SSD.

Thank you all for your answers.

I just booted up my pc and timed the opening time of SD3 in stand alone is 11mn 15s

My processor is an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G 3.80 GHZ  with 32.0 GB RAM
My main internal hard drive is a Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB in sata

This disk is used by my Windows 11 OS and all my programs such as Toontrack.

I have other music software such as Addictive Drum 2, Modo Drum and Arturia and it only takes a few minutes to open stand-alone or in a daw like cakewalk by bandlab or ableton live.

The libraries are on a 7.2-tb Western Digital SATA internal disk.

I’ll see if it’s not the antivirus blocking the startup.
If not, I have no idea. I can try moving the libraries to the ssd but I don’t have any problems with other software that has the same configuration.

Well, I think it’s the antivirus that’s the problem. By deactivating it, opening is instantaneous. Thank you all for your help.

Great! Which AV software do you use? Just in case someone has a similar issue with the same AV software.
