I’m using EZBass with Reaper 7 on Windows 11.
When recording guitar using the Audio Tracker plugin, I’m using Audio Tracker’s built in metronome. When I start playback in Reaper, I wait 4 beats before I play so I have enough time to get my hands back on the guitar. This adds 4 beats of empty space in the results.
I’d like to be able to save Audio Tracker recordings as user MIDI files, but they will have this leading empty space that I must manually edit out later when I add them to a track.
Is there a feature in the Audio Tracker editor to trim/delete the leading empty space, move the notes around, or something else so I can get the MIDI notes to be on beat 1?
Seems like the only way around this is to pre-record my guitar in Reaper on a dummy track so that the Audio Tracker recording can start on beat 1.
or leave the first measure blank as a lead-in. then if later you want to add something like an intro roll or other instruments, if not then export the audio track starting at measure 2 and line up as needed.
