Set grid editor to allow chromatic notes

  I’m trying to add chromatic notes in the grid editor for an exercise. I started with a standard groove of 16th notes and thought it would be easy to drag individual notes to their proper pitches, but the scale is only allowing diatonic notes. I searched for a setting but found none.  What am I missing?
