    Hi,

Installed EZD3 and it refuses to locate any MIDI grooves when opened despite the fact the path to the MIDI is correct and they are installed, I can go to the folder and physcially drag the MIDI files into EZD and they play fine just the program itself doesn’t recognize the path to them.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    EZdrummer version: 3.0.6
    Operating system: Windows 7

Please, try going to “Settings” > “Advanced” and click the “Restore MIDI Database” function.

Gave that a try, unfortunately the problem still persists.

    Hi Acinonyx,

if you go to Settings > Libraries/Paths, what does the Sound and MIDI Libraries path look like?

If it is the Default path, it should look like ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Toontrack\EZdrummer’.  Inside that ‘EZdrummer’ folder there is a ‘Midi’ folder, Could you please post a screen shot of its content?

    BR,
    John

    It’s the default path.

    Here’s the Midi folder contents.

Can you post a screenshot of the EZD3 Grooves page open that doesn’t show any MIDI?

In this case, please open Command Prompt via Windows search, then copy and paste this command and press Enter.

    reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Toontrack\Superior\EZdrummer /v MidiPath /f

That should fix the issue if you get a response that the registry value was deleted successfully. You may need to install the MIDI again after that.

i just bought ezdrummer 3 and two problems showed up. After downloading, installing etc. with the product manager the drummer is ready to use but it starts with “no midi library found”. at first the installer of the core library allowed me to choose an installation path and i istalled it on my second ssd. Still no library found. Then i moved the folder “EZdrummer” to the default file (Pragramme86/common files/toontrack/….. still the same result .i then deinstalled the core library and installed it again to the default file. there it is now, but no library. i consulted the manual but didnt find a solution. the drummer works allright. i can hit the drums and hear the sounds in the standalone and in cubase.

the 2nd problem: when i installed the core midi update for windows the installation was succesful but the product manager still says “install ” and “not installed”.

i hope you can help me.

    Hi,

manually moving stuff around post initial install is not good in general but if you hear sound when you click the drums in the interface, your Sound library is found and functional.
The Core MIDI update not working is another thing, though. If you close the PM app and open the EZD3 app and go to Settings > Advanced and ‘Restore MIDI Database”, then switch to the ‘Grooves’ page in EZD3. Do you see any grooves there? Can you audition them?

    hi,

i solved the problem myself. used the hint from rixa (above):

In this case, please open Command Prompt via Windows search, then copy and paste this command and press Enter.

    reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Toontrack\Superior\EZdrummer /v MidiPath /f

That should fix the issue if you get a response that the registry value was deleted successfully. You may need to install the MIDI again after that.

It worked!!! the grooves are visible and the PM says: everything ready to use
