I’m wondering if older midi packs have the same full functionality as newer midi packs when used in the newer Toontrack Products. For example in the case of EZ Drummer 3 the older packs do seem to respond to adding more notes or less notes for various drums/cymbals etc. in Edit Play style. But I have run into a few times when what is added is weird for the loop, triplets in a groove that doesn’t have a triplet feel etc.
Are the newer midi packs which have come out since the introduction of the newer Toontrack products different than the older midi packs? Is there any functionality that the newer ones have that the older ones don’t?
Also, if they are different, how can I tell which are the newer ones and which are the older type?
Thanks!
From my experience, the older packs work just fine with the current software line up. (EZD and Superior, at least)
