    Patrick is correct.

Put your kicks in a MIDI block and copy and paste blocks as required.

The question I have is why do it this way when there are probably grooves already available that will probably work?

Because I am trying to learn how to use this software and this is only solution I came up with.

I don’t even know what a midi block is or how to copy and paste where I need it.
im trying to learn taking baby steps.

It’s actually the more laborious way to create songs. Definitely not baby steps. If you want to start off with something simple, making a simple one or two bar groove in the grid editor starting with the kick and snare and then trying some of the songwriting tools such as tap-2-find or the song creator, that would be far simpler if you want to try that route. At least with the song creator, you can put a whole song together easily. You will also see what MIDI blocks are and how they work on the timeline.

Also, there is nothing wrong with dragging grooves from the groove library to the timeline. They’re as close to a real drummer as can be.
