Ezdrummer tracks muting in Reaper when grouped

  Using multitrack EZdrummer in Reaper. I’d like to be able to group all drum tracks. When these are ungrouped, I can hear the kick.

  

  however, as soon as I drag the kick channel under EZdrummer 3 channel, I no longer hear the kick.

  

  Any ideas why?

  Reaper forum has the same question as mine. But it was posted in 2014 and has zero replies 9 years later!
