    Hi.

    I use a Tascam US20x20 with 10 Outputs without problems. But not direct controllable by tablet. I use a remote desktop solution, so i can log in to the mac. But I never had to do something at the audio interface software. Power up the mac, start SD3 automatic and all runs without loggin in to the mac.

    That is odd. Although, I am using a Macbook M1 Max with 32GB. Can go down to 64 samples in standalone with no issues and no noticeable latency. And 32 samples in Logic for recording. No crackles and pops. I don’t even use an external interface but plug my headphones directly in the Jack out of the laptop…

    Hello Ilja,

    I use Allen and Heath QU series (24, 32 or SB) mixer.

    Macbook Pro direct on USB as audio interface output on mixer. (Signal pad stays digital, no digital to analoge to digital converting back and forward – no latency and audio quality loss)

    This situation occured also to me with cracking and was solved with the latest Allen and Heath firmware for the mixers.

    kind greetings,

    Wouter

    @andy

    So you are a very lucky man!! I bought this macbook pro in January, so it’s absolutely new, but the 16GB seem to be to weak for all this. Even when I try Superior standalone with no Kit connected, I get this crackling thing. This seems to be a known issue because you find a lot of users out there having the same problems.

    But thanks for your input!!!

    @spinne1000   and   wouter  thanks for your suggestions and input!!!

    I am attempting you use a Mackie DL16s. I have not see latency issues so far.   I am having issues with using it for live mix.  I have the kick, snare, Tom, hh, oh, Amber, cmp…outputs sent to channel 9-14/15 on the board.  But the snare mike only adjust the snare maybe 20%, it more changes the sound than the volume.  I know this is due to the overheads, bleed, and compressor all having snare sounds in them, but dont see an easy way for the sound man to adjust the mix of snare/ Tom/ kick easily.  How are you all routing and then adjusting?

    I either use a M2 Mac Mini 16gb or M2 Macbook Pro 16 gb going through a volt 476P 64 samples. I even have it outputed to multple channels running  using cubae and uadx api visions on 9 channels no pops and click. Runs smooth. Something is going on with you set up.  It may be something with that interface. Don’t think it’s your mac. I was using 2018 macbook pro with 16 gigs before. No issues.

    Hi and thank you!! I’ll take a look on that interface.

    Yes, the problem is definately the soundcard. Thanks for your advice!
