I have my library installed in a separate hardisk with full read-write access but EZK 2 wont allow to copy over the midi, I keep getting errors like this ”
Midi/000600@EZKEYS_2” could not be copied.”
the installer does not allow me to point to where I want the library to be installed either.
I had to point EZk2 to my EZK1 library before it worked but as mentioned cannot install the core EZK2 library at all.
All EZkeys libraries need to be installed in the same folder. As long as the previously selected/used path exists, the installer won’t let you select a different path (for all libraries).
What does the installer error log say about why it can’t copy the MIDI?

The log says.
023-05-16 14:21:38: Starting installation.
2023-05-16 14:21:38: Test copy files to path /Volumes/SEAGATE 1/Library/EZkeys
2023-05-16 15:04:23: Installation failed
Hm, that’s strangely little in the log.
Does the dialog say anything more after “could not be copied”?
If you click “Show Details” in Product Manager for the core library and select “Open in Finder” from the menu to the right of the download, does the file “000600@EZKEYS_2” exist in Contents > Midi? (If not, select “Verify/Download Again” from the same menu.)
Does /Volumes/SEAGATE 1/Library/EZkeys/Midi exist as a normal folder?

Update: I ended up removing all EZKeys library files from the disk I’ve used for years and re-installed everything on another disk, same set up just different disk and it worked.
Not sure if it has anything to do with Toontrack or Apple Monterey.
