Hi,
This has been plaguing me for years. In the type column on the search tab in EZD2 and the grooves tab of EZD3 and SD3 you can search for several things, including Fills and Endings. But there is no option to sort out Intros. Why is this? It is a real pain to have to sort the master list by the name column and then scroll down to where the intros are. I have dozens of EZX, SDX and Midi packs comprising thousands of grooves. To have to scroll through hundreds or thousands to get to the Intros is time consuming and frustrating. Equally frustrating is to go through each library and search for them in each song.
Please add Intros as a sort choice in the type column.
Thanks.
You’re certainly correct. Here’s two ideas that you could try after you identify the main beat in your song… say the beat that would come right after the intro, the Verse for this example.
Not a solution, but valid workarounds to try.

Thanks Shawn (Sean? Sorry if I’m using the wrong spelling). Those are both good workarounds, and I have tried both. I learned those and many other things from your videos!
My biggest problem is that most of my songs are already written, and I’m usually looking for something pretty specific. I don’t have very good luck with the Tap2Find a lot of the time and often end up writing things myself beat by beat. It would streamline things a lot to have that sort option available.
Thanks for saying! Adding simple song structure Filters would be beneficial. I would use them as much as any other filter I think.
Third option if you didn’t think of it yet about the hypothetical Verse Groove. Right click on it in your Song Track, select Find>Show Containing Folder, and see if that particular song has Intro Grooves.
